ABOUT VILI V

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, contemporary crooner and songwriter Vili V set the standard early on. While other guys in the ’90s were head-banging to Nirvana, a teenage Vili spent hours singing along with Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Frank Sinatra and others on his parents’ old record player. Then in 1996, amid a field of industry veterans, he placed first at the largest Elvis festival in the world, based in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Around that time, he also made the Top 10 at the YTV Achievement Awards.

Eager to master other styles, Vili immersed himself in jazz and classical music at Mohawk College, touring in Europe before graduation. In 2002 he released his debut original album Indigo Blue through Sextant/EMI Music Canada. In 2016 Vili was recognized for five of his songs by The UK Songwriting Contest.

Over the years, Vili has performed for and with many famous entertainers including: Comedian Russell Peters; country legend George Hamilton IV; three-time Grammy winner Walter Ostanek; Glass Tiger frontman Alan Frew; hip-hop artist Maestro Fresh Wes; the cast of the HBO series The Sopranos; and Elvis Presley’s original vocal group The Jordanaires. One time, Vili even met crooner Michael Bublé.
